"Chakra" in Sanskrit means "vortex of energy"

Picture
There is a highway of astral light about 1½ inches wide in front of the physical spine consisting of 72,000 energy channels. The central channel (the river of life) is where the chakras are located as extensions of our subconscious mind. Chakras create the aura around the human body that some people and even highly sensitive instruments can now detect.

Each chakras is associated with an element such as earth, water, fire, air, ether and super ether. These are not physical or chemical, but rather elemental stages of psychological growth. The first five (lower) chakras are allegorically associated with the five Pandava brothers from the Bhagavad Gita.

Vrittis enter the appropriate chakra (like attracts like – the more spiritual an action or desire, the higher the chakra it enters. The more material the action or desire, the lower the chakra it enters. Our inner struggle to grow spiritually is the pull of the soul from above and the pull of matter attachment from below. The key is energy control through meditation, breathing (prana) techniques, hatha yoga postures, visualization, affirmations and other proven techniques. An increase in the energy flow inward and upward through the astral spine, offering the energy from the lower chakra to the next higher one, is a major tool for unblocking  and dissolving karma for spiritual awakening. The more consciously you withdraw your energy into the chakras through meditation, the more you experience an enormous revitalization of energy and consciousness – true inner peace and joy.

Cosmic Energy surrounds the body

Energy enters from the Universe through the medulla oblongata and flows to the spiritual eye located just above the eyebrows.

Chakras store and distribute energy

Every unfulfilled desire, every wave of like or dislike, every karmic action, each create a subtle vortex of energy unit, a tiny whirlpool, called a vritti in Sanskrit. These vrittis are held together by thoughts such as: “I want this; I reject that; I like this; I dislike that; I have succeeded at.. I have failed at…

Cosmic energy flows..

Life force (prana) flows from the Infinite Universe down through the chakras and out into the physical world through the body’s nervous system in the form of our senses of sight, hearing, smell, taste and touch, along with our psychological make  up.

The flow can be reversed...

The advanced, ancient, mystic technique of Kriya Yoga which reverses the flow of life force (prana) from the physical world up through the chakras, shutting the doors of the senses of sight, hearing, smell, taste and touch and out through the spiritual eye back into the Infinite Universe
