Everything on the material plane has a counterpart made of astral light, a light that is more subtle than the electromagnetic energies of the atom. Hindu scriptures called this energy “prana”, which Paramhansa Yogananda has translated as “lifetrons.”
In manifesting creation, God first projects it as thought-patterns, the finest form of creative vibration, which condenses into forms of astral light and then into grosser atomic structures… Man’s thoughts are a microcosmic borrowing from God’s thought power and so have the ability, even when undeveloped, to affect significantly his own health, happiness, and success and ,when strongly reinforced by kindred thoughts of others, the world in which he lives. The thought-patterns implanted in creation by God are thus affected harmoniously or inharmoniously by the thoughts of mankind."
What you think and focus on, you attract into your life. Like the law of gravity, the law of attraction never sleeps. Whether you are thinking consciously or just day dreaming, you are subtly putting in place the potential to attract the manifestation of those thoughts into your life. Why allow your random thoughts to create life experiences that you do not want? Wake up and focus your thoughts on what you want!
When you begin to desire only that which you need and that which can help others, you will see your desires manifest quickly. Christ said: “Ye shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free.” The following is that universal truth: We are all made in the image of God. He took parts of His Consciousness and gave them self-awareness and free will. We are those little waves of Consciousness floating in His vast, infinite cosmic ocean of God Consciousness. We are the little selves floating in our Higher Self. As parts of His Consciousness we are inseparable from Him and each other. We are all children of God.
He created a world of duality and delusion into which He sent us to experience and to exercise our free will. The Hindu Scriptures refer to it as Lila-God’s Play; and Maya-delusion. Our duty is to transcend the delusion of this physical world; to transcend the delusion of our ego that tries to convince us that we are separate from God and separate from each other; and to abandon all body consciousness and return home to Him.
He must become more tempting to us than any other temptation. Only then can we be free from all suffering and free from the wheel of reincarnation. “Seek ye (first) the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you.” (Luke 12:31) (p26).
